It is ideal for solos, but it also plays well as a continuo instrument. The plain model features good quality, aged wood, a matte finished, and minimal decorative purfling around the edges of the instrument. The fingerboard and tailpiece are solid, plain maple and the pegs are rosewood. The decorative model features a high quality, fine grain wood with a thick, glossy finish and ornate
